Bob Murray

Bob graduated from Illinois Wesleyan in 1982 with a degree in Business Administration and began working for the Admissions Office the same year. He also has earned a M.S. degree in Higher Education Counseling. Bob lettered in baseball all four years, serving as a co-captain his senior year. While attending Illinois Wesleyan, he participated in basketball, worked as a Resident Assistant for two years and worked as a paraprofessional in the Career Center. Bob has officiated high school basketball for 24 years as well.

Bob is currently serving his third term as a member of the Executive Board of the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC). He is serving a three-year term as a national delegate to the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). Bob has served on many IACAC and NACAC committees during his 23 years in admissions. He is also a member of the Illinois ACT Executive Council.

Bob is married to Jan, an Illinois Wesleyan nursing alum, and has two children, Kelly, IWU ’04 in education and Matthew, IWU ’06. You can contact Bob Murray at bmurray@iwu.edu.
