Paul McNamara received a B.F.A. from Tyler School of Art, Temple University in 1992. As a student, he was a Presidential Scholar and graduated with the honor of cum laude. He studied at the Elkins Park, Penn. and Rome, Italy campuses. McNamara has worked at the University since 1996 as a graphic designer and began teaching at the School of Art in 2004 McNamara has developed a private business, designing for small companies, non-profit organizations and other institutions. He brings this experience to his classes, emphasizing the importance of the business, printing and technical aspects of design, while helping students develop their personal style and design sensibilities. McNamara has a happy marriage and a growing family, and his children are schooled at home. His interests include reading, cooking, praying, and rough housing with his kids.
