Internships & Travel

Every year the School of Art has students that hold internships, either during the school year or during the summer recess. Although there is no restriction to where the internship is held, our most common sites are in the Bloomington/Normal area and Chicago.

Although most of the internship sites listed here are concentrated in the design area, students routinely intern in museums,  galleries, and major art centers.

The University offers travel courses each year and our students study at a wide variety of international locations. In May, Professor Strandberg will take a group of students to Barcelona to study photography. Recently students studied art in Italy, London, Amsterdam, Ireland, and Ghana.
