Biography

Professor Epstein teaches ED 225 (Foundations of Education),  ED 360 (Secondary Curriculum and Instruction), ED 491 (Secondary Student Teaching Seminar), ED 373 (Education and International Development) and ED 370 (Images of Children and Schooling in Film). He also teaches IS 270/370 (International Human Rights: An Introduction). He has strong interests in educational policy, comparative and international education, and children’s rights issues and has taught in Los Angeles, Perth, Australia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. His current interests include editing an encyclopedia about international children’s issues and exploring the ways in which we can re-conceptualize educational issues in more personal terms.
