Reunions offer an opportunity to reflect on the past, on the friendships and shared experiences you and fellow classmates have enjoyed. One way to show appreciation for those experiences is through a reunion gift above and beyond a usual Annual Fund contribution. While all reunions are special, the 10th, 25th, and 50th reunions mark milestones in one's relationship with Illinois Wesleyan, and both the University and the alumnus should take pride in these milestones.
10th and 25th
Reunions
Alumni celebrating their 10th and 25th
reunions can present a reunion gift to IWU by simply increasing
their typical Annual Fund gift and by encouraging others to do
the same. It is also hoped that every member of the
reunion year classes makes a gift in honor of the event.
Increases in Alumni Annual Fund dollar and donor totals are a
great way for 10th and 25th reunion classes to show their pride
in their alma mater.
50th Reunion
In addition
to outright gifts, IWU welcomes other philanthropic efforts
from the 50th reunion class that will benefit the University
well into the future. Historically, alums have chosen to
establish endowments for student scholarships, specific
academic departments, and other designations. Others have
arranged bequests, charitable remainder trusts and annuities,
and other gifts in honor of their reunion. Illinois
Wesleyan welcomes the opportunity to work with alumni
celebrating their 50th reunion on their specific desires in
supporting the University.
