Dr. Sobeira Latorre is an Assistant Professor of Hispanic Studies. She teaches all levels of Spanish as well as courses on Caribbean and Latino/a literature, culture and film. Her research focuses on the literatures and cultural production of the Hispanic Caribbean and the Latino/a population in the United States.
She has presented at numerous conferences throughout the U.S. and her work has been published in the journals Life Writing and Meridians: Feminism, Race, and Transnationalism. She is currently working on a book project which examines the representation of blackness in Dominican-American literature. |
