The Document Delivery Service provides IWU faculty and staff and Study Abroad Students with electronic copies and loan materials from The Ames Library collection.

Submit a request through your ILLiad account using the "Request Document Delivery Service" button. Enter the required citation information into the appropriate fields and submit the request. You will be notified via email when the requested item has been scanned and posted to your ILLiad account as a pdf file. If an item cannot be located, the request will automatically be sent as an interlibrary loan request.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Information
The Document Delivery department obtains research materials not available in the IWU library by borrowing them from other libraries, or document vendors if necessary.
Examples of research materials include books, periodical articles, and microfilm.

Copyright Permissions for course packets
The Document Delivery department obtains copyright permissions for items to be used in course packets and in library reserves.
Library staff members work directly with faculty to handle course packet creation. Copyright for reserves is handled through internal communication between Document Delivery and Reserves staff members.
Procedures for creating a course packet.
The Document Delivery department will deliver to faculty the items physically received via Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Items are delivered to departmental mailboxes or secretarial offices for the convenience of faculty members.
During summer and breaks when access to buildings is restricted, courier service is suspended.
