Access to electronic resources (excluding online catalog) are not available without IWU affiliations.
Borrowing Privileges - McLean County Residents
Members of the general public may request an IWU library courtesy card, if they hold a public library card from any Alliance Library System library within McLean County and present a valid driver’s license or state ID.
Annual borrowing privileges will be granted upon confirmation that the individual is in good standing with the local public library. Borrowing privileges granted with this card are only applicable at The Ames Library.
Card renewals will be granted, if individual requests the renewal personally and is in good standing at The Ames Library.
Interlibrary loan privileges are only available to IWU students, faculty, and staff.

Borrowing Privileges - Residents from outside McLean Countyy
Members of the general public who do not live within McLean County will be granted an IWU library card only if they are on campus for a summer conference. Such a card will expire at the end of the individual’s enrollment in the conference.
Borrowing privileges granted with this card are only applicable at The Ames Library.
