| Chad Hutson In his third season as an Illinois Wesleyan basketball assistant is Chad Hutson, a 1995 IWU grad and four-year letterman. A Normal Community standout in high school, Hutson holds the IWU single-season assist record of 198 (1994-95) and is No. 2 all-time with 449 career assists. He ranks No. 17 with 84 career 3-point field goals and ended his career with 791 points. He is employed at Bloomington's State Farm Insurance and he and his wife, Cally, have a son (Evan) and a daughter (Madison). |
![]() | Dave Feeney IDave Feeney is in his first year as an IWU assistant. Feeney is a 1999 graduate of Millikin, where he played two seasons and spent two seasons as a student assistant coach. Since 1999 Feeney has taught English at Normal Community High School and, for eight seasons, was the NCHS head girls' basketball coach compiling a 141-83 record, including a three-year run of 78-12 in which the Ironmen won two undefeated Big 12 Conference championships, three regional titles and one sectional title. Feeney also coached freshman football at NCHS for three years. A product of El Paso, Ill., High School, Dave and his wife (Laurel) have two daughters, Madison and Sophia. |
![]() | Dennis Martel After 21 years on the bench as a game assistant, Dennis Martel serves as Director of Basketball Operations. In 2008 Martel begins his 21st season as Titan baseball coach and his teams have compiled a record of 507-320-3 (.613) and 243-106 (.696) in CCIW play. Prior to 2007 he was No. 26 among active Division III coaches in career victories. Eight straight teams have won more than 24 games and in 2007 Martel was co-winner of the CCIW "Coach of the Year" honor as the Titans won the league with a record-setting 20-1 record, were 32-13 overall and hosted the NCAA Division III regional. His 2001 team won 37 games and finished seventh in the Division III College World Series after winning the Central Regional. Martel has coached eight American Baseball Coaches Association All-Americans and six of his players have signed pro baseball contracts. A 1984 graduate of the University of Maine, Martel earned a master's degree in athletic administration from Illinois State in 1985. He was head basketball coach at Bangor (Maine) Community College for four seasons. He and his wife, Michelle, have three daughters, Sara (October 1995), Jenna (April 1998), and Anna (May 2001). |
