Five Titans Earn CCIW Soccer Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — Illinois Wesleyan junior Matas Cyvas was chosen to the first team and three of his teammates were named by league coaches to the second team of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin men’s soccer squads.
Senior forwards Colin Aubin and Ikenna Odinaka, junior midfielder Jeff Carqueville and sophomore midfielder Paulo Michelini (Ames, Iowa, HS) were the second team selections for the Titans, who finished 6-11 overall and 4-3 in the CCIW.
A defender, Cyvas (Downers Grove, Benet Academy) was a first team all-conference selection in 2005 and a second team selection in 2006. He was a key player for the 2007 team that allowed 1.66 goals per CCIW game.
Aubin (Orland Park, Sandburg HS) had one goal in conference matches, a game-winner on a penalty kick against Wheaton.
Odinaka (Lagos, Nigeria) tied for seventh in the league with three goals.
Carqueville (St. Charles, East HS) was third in the CCIW with 10 points, tied for fifth in the league with four goals and tied for seventh with two assists.
