Jason Van Heuklon

Jason Van Heuklon was named as the head men's tennis coach at Illinois Wesleyan in May 2006. Van Heuklon has been playing tennis for more than 25 years and is very active in the Bloomington-Normal tennis community.
In taking the IWU job, Van Heuklon said, "As my first coaching experience at the collegiate level, I look forward to bringing my enthusiasm, knowledge, and competitiveness to Illinois Wesleyan's men's tennis team."
A graduate of Macomb, Ill., High School, Van Heuklon played collegiately at Illinois State University, where he received his bachelor's degree in physical education in 1997 and his master's degree in sports administration in 2002.
His previous coaching experience includes one year as an assistant coach at Morton, Ill., High School and three years (2004-06) teaching the junior program at Bloomington's Evergreen Racquet Club.
Van Heuklon and his wife, Rachael (a former member of the Illinois State gymnastics team) were married in 2001 and are the parents of Katie (born in January 2006).
