Educational Opportunities

Study abroad: An increasingly large number of our music majors elects to study abroad for either one semester or a full year.  Many of our students study at one of the IES (Institute for the International Education of Students) locations including Vienna, Milan, and recently Amsterdam.  Students gain the invaluable experience of living and learning in a different cultural setting.

May Term: The music department offers special courses during the May term.  Courses offered recently include one travel course to Italy and Austria entitled "Museums, Cathedrals, and Concert Halls" and a general survey of music history called "Gourmet Listener"
