COMEDIAN MEGAN MOONEY Brought to you by the Office of Student Activities http://www2.iwu.edu/studact (309-556-3850). The event is free and open to the public. Megan’s relaxed and approachable comedy style has gained her instant approval with all types of audiences. In addition to being a popular headliner in comedy clubs throughout the country, Megan has quickly become one of the most requested college acts. Since arriving on the college scene, just a couple of years ago, Mooney has been invited to perform at over 300 colleges – leaving her very little time to pursue her true passion – which is napping on her couch. What makes Megan so approachable? Maybe it has something to do with her being one of seven children growing up in Cleveland, Ohio. Then again, maybe it has something to do with her inability to take anything seriously. Either way, the Indianapolis Star described her as a “sarcastic, smart-ass extraordinaire with a myriad of truly original topics.” But if you ask around, most college students would just describe her as hilarious! Megan has performed at both the “HBO US Comedy Arts Festival” in Aspen, Colorado as well as the “Just For Laughs International Comedy Festival” in Montreal, Canada. She can be seen on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, the E Network, The Style Channel, the Game Show Network, and can be heard on XM Satellite Radio. Undercover is a unique live music competition. All competitors are Illinois Wesleyan students and each contestant has only one goal...to win 1st place. Throughout the evening student performers grace the stage armed with two cover songs and a desire to entertain. You are likely to hear acoustic ballads, Motown's greatest, country hits, and rock anthems, just to name a few. A panel of guest judges, along with the help of the audience, decides which students walk away with 3rd, 2nd or 1st place and bragging rights as the winners of Undercover. In its 13th semester Undercover is a campus tradition that cannot be missed! |
