IWU Madrid Program -- Estimated 2009 Costs

IWU tuition + IWU room and board + ~$4,000-$4,500 program fee*

Included in these costs are:

  • Roundtrip airfare from Chicago O’Hare to Madrid
  • Three-day on-site orientation
  • Ground transportation in Madrid for the semester (Metro/bus pass)
  • Four IWU courses
  • Roundtrip transportation, entry, and miscellaneous fees for all required field trips and program events, including program excursions to Toledo and other sites in Spain
  • Accommodation with a host family for the semester
  • Meals (2/day with host family + daily lunch stipend)
  • International Student I.D. card
  • Cell phone (excluding top-up fees)

* IWU Financial Aid applies.

Note: Program fees do not cover passport (approximately $90.00), visa (approximately $100.00), additional health insurance, books, academic supplies, personal expenditures, shipping of personal items, or personal travel.

Upon acceptance, students are required to pay a $1,000 non-refundable deposit, credited to the overall cost of participation.
