Jean MacFarland Kerr, Associate Professor of Theatre Arts, received her M.A. from Ohio State University. She is the coordinator of the university's Dance program; she annually choreographs the faculty dance concert and the season's musical or opera. Jean is certified in Pilates, Labanotation, and is a recognized Advanced Actor/Combatant with the society of American Fight Directors. Jean often shares her work with independent dance companies and theatres, working as their choreographer, fight director, or participating as a dancer. She has served on the Illinois Arts Council Dance Panel and is on the advisory board of several arts organizations in the Bloomington-Normal area.
