October 16
For the third straight season, Illinois Wesleyan junior Allison Heim has been chosen to the all-league squads in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. Heim is a repeater on the first team and IWU senior Sarah Rusch was selected for the second team. Heim, who was a second team all-CCIW selection in 2005, was 12-4 overall this season and 5-1 against CCIW opponents. Rusch was 6-6 at No. 2 singles and 3-3 vs. league foes. As a doubles team Heim/Rusch were 8-4 at No. 1 and 4-2 against the league. Heim and Rusch finished third at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, and teamed to finish third at No. 1 doubles in the conference tourney.

October 6
Illinois Wesleyan's Allison Heim and Sarah Rusch finished third at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, as the IWU women's tennis team placed fifth in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin tournament at Bloomington's Evergreen Racquet Club on October 5-6. Heim defeated Kelly Hatch of North Central, 8-2, to win her third place honor and Rusch topped Jenna Richardson of Augustana, 8-3. Heim and Rusch paired to defeat North Central's Alison Paschold and Melissa Lewis, 8-3, to claim third place at No. 1 doubles. The Titans amassed 23 points to place fifth while Wheaton won its third straight CCIW title with 69 points.

October 5
The Illinois Wesleyan women's tennis team is in fifth place after the first day of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin tournament at Bloomington's Evergreen Racquet Club on Friday, Oct. 5. The Titans have 14 total points while the leader, Wheaton, has 42. Allison Heim (No. 1), Sarah Rusch (No. 2), and Kate Meyer (No. 6) will all play for third place in their respective singles flights on the championships' final day, Saturday, Oct. 6.

September 28-29
The Illinois Wesleyan women's tennis team won its third straight match with an 8-1 nonconference decision over St. Francis in Lockport, Ill., on Saturday, Sept. 29. On Friday, Sept. 28 the Titans won their second straight College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin match, downing Millikin, 9-0, in Bloomington. Against both St. Francis and Millikin, IWU got singles wins from Allison Heim, Sarah Rusch, Sarah Wilson, Cate Hunter, Colleen McShane and Kate Meyer. In the Millikin match, the doubles teams of Heim-Rusch, Hunter-Wilson and McShane-Jenna Rowland also claimed victories. The Titans' overall record is 4-8 and 3-3 in the CCIW.

September 23

The Illinois Wesleyan women's tennis team claimed a 5-4 win at North Central in Naperville, Ill., on Sunday, Sept. 23 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. IWU improved to 2-8 overall and 2-3 in the CCIW. The Titans got singles wins from No. 1 Allison Heim, No. 2 Sarah Rusch, and No. 6 Kate Meyer and doubles wins from the No. 1 team of Heim and Rusch and the No. 2 team of Sarah Wilson and Cate Hunter. On Sept. 22, the Titans lost a nonconference match at St. Ambrose and fell to CCIW foe Augustana.

September 14
The Illinois Wesleyan women's tennis team took a 7-2 win over Elmhurst on Friday, Sept. 14, for their first victory of the season. IWU is now 1-4 overall and 1-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. The Titans got singles wins from Allison Heim, Sarah Rusch, Sarah Wilson, Cate Hunter and Colleen McShane while Heim and Rusch and Hunter and Wilson paired up for wins at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles, respectively. The Titans host Wheaton on Saturday, Sept. 15.

September 12

The Illinois Wesleyan women's tennis team fell to 0-4 this season after a 5-4 loss at Monmouth College on Wednesday, Sept. 12. The Titans got singles wins from No. 1 Allison Heim, No. 2 Sarah Rusch (shown) and No. 6 Jenna Rowland. The No. 1 doubles team of Heim and Rusch also carved out an 8-4 win over Cassandra Frantz and Brittany Donnelly. IWU hosts conference opponents Elmhurst and Wheaton on Sept. 14 and Sept. 15, respectively.

September 6
Illinois Wesleyan junior Allison Heim has been chosen as the co-winner of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin women's tennis "Player of the Week" honor. The Titans' No. 1 player, Heim won both her singles matches, downing Carthage's Gina Klein (6-4, 7-6) and the Warhawks' Ingrid Stensvaag (6-3, 7-6). She also teamed with Sarah Rusch for a win at No. 1 doubles over Stensvaag and Kara Amundson of Whitewater, 8-3. Heim shared the honor with Carthage's Taylor Gustafson, who won both of her matches at No. 1 doubles and No. 3 singles last weekend.

September 1
The Illinois Wesleyan women's tennis team lost a pair of matches in Kenosha, Wis., on Sat., Sept. 1, dropping a conference match to Carthage, 8-1, and losing to Wisconsin-Whitewater, 7-2. The Titans' No. 1 player, Alison Heim, won both her singles matches, downing Carthage's Gina Klein (6-4, 7-6) and the Warhawks' Ingrid Stensvaag (6-3, 7-6). Heim also teamed with Sarah Rusch for a win at No. 1 doubles over Stensvaag and Kara Amundson of Whitewater, 8-3.

July 6

New head coach Krista Cardona welcomes back five letterwinners for the 2007 edition of the Illinois Wesleyan women's tennis team. The Titans, who have finished third in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championships for five straight seasons, were 6-11 in dual matches last year. :Leading the returning players is 2006 "MVP" Alison Heim, who was 10-5 overall and 8-4 at No. 1 singles, where she finished third in the CCIW tournament. Heim was a first team all-conference selection and was also 9-7 with a third place CCIW finish at No. 1 doubles.
